I cannot speak more highly of this store, and the employees! Their yarn selection is really fantastic. If you're looking for fine yarn in any color, any weight, it will be here. The employees are really helpful, and it's a nice ambience overall. Great place

Tried to go here to shop for some yarn and support local business but left with such an unpleasant feeling that I will never return. It looks like there are two women who work here. One who has the short grey haired bob seems more personable but the other seems only to want certain people to shop here. She was extremely rude to us and asked us to move aside even though we were not in the way but seemed eager to bend over backwards to help some other customers.

What a warm and cozy space! Our LYS closed a while ago, and I've really missed the personal service and advice only found in a LYS. My daughter recently moved to Lincoln Park, and she took me to Sister Arts on my first visit. I had so much fun chatting with Donna and looking all the beautiful yarn. Sister Arts is well worth a visit, and I know it will become a regular stop when I'm visiting my daughter.

Lovely shop with a large selection of yarn in numerous weights and price points. Also available was a limited custom color way, dyed just for Sister-Arts Studio. Always fun to stop in yarn shops whilst traveling and pick up something exclusive to the shop. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the goods available. All located in a lovely area in Lincoln Park with the added bonus of restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

Came all the way from Florida to my first yarn store and Sister-Arts Studio was perfect! They have such a vast selection of yarn weights, fibers, and colors, I was overwhelmed in the best way. Donna was so kind and helped me pick the right tools for my first knitting project. Thank you so much and I can't wait until I can come back!

Beginner knitter here. I went into the shop looking for some guidance and help figuring out my next project. The woman working was extremely condescending and just plain rude. She was very belittling to me and to the people whom she was teaching to knit. It’s crazy to me that you would shoo away someone who could have become a repeat customer. I would not go back and I would not recommend this shop. Very disappointing.

My beanie crochet class with Maria was so fun! I learned a lot, became more confident in my skills, and love how my hat turned out. This was also such a welcoming space, and I immediately felt accepted by everyone in the class. I’m looking forward to taking more classes, coming in to purchase more yarn, and hopefully trying one of the stitch nights.
