Nice, charming guest house that is beautifully painted in the red, white and black patterns that the area is known for. There is a shop that sells a wide selection of baskets, paintings, ceramics and other crafts that are produced in the area. I stayed here for a night in March of 2019.

If you are interested in doing the craft workshops, I would definitely call ahead and check to see what will be available ahead of your visit. I got to do the painting workshop, but the weavers and the batik people were out of town at the time of my visit. For the pottery workshop, you might not be able to take home what you make because they only fire up the oven once a week.

Sirigu is a very serene and peaceful place to explore. The village is loosely spread out over a wide area and is very different from my more centrally organized village in the Northern Region. I spent some time walking around the village. Overall, a pleasant place to visit.

Stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. Swopa also offeres nice decorated guest houses painted in white/red/black (even with AC, which was fine, as temperatures were above 40 degrees during the day).
On the first day I could watch some women weaving baskets, on the second I went to Paga and in the afternoon learned how to weave a small basket from a very nice local woman. It was tough! Took me 3 hours to weave a small thing that fits into my palm.

In the shop there were many baskets and various pottery objects as some paintings to buy at very reasonable prices.

The nearby center of the village has a beautiful colourful market every third day, which was lovely.
Around you see some compounds made of clay/mud and some of them are even painted. But most of the houses in the area are "modern".

Great place to buy artefacts and learn basketry and pottery. They also teach about the culture and meanings to sirigu patterns.

Do make a purchase when you visit, it helps the women in the comunity and encourages them to keep creating.

Dnshitobu

It's a local art shop of clay products well refined to international and modern standards all created by the women folk. It equally serves as the art of gallery of the community telling a greater story of the people's culture. Nothing exist there except it has a greater meaning.
