Robin Hood was great fun with excellent acting!
Only suggestion to management is to clearly state on their website the need to be there extra early because the stage is about a kilometre walk into a park. This potentially could pose several problems especially for people with mobility issues. This is supposedly stated after the fact in your confirmation email but that is a little late and also like several other people we don't pull up that email and study it well in advance as we just thought it was needed solely for the tickets at the door.
I had also gone through all the FAQs on their website and did not find any mention of this there either.
We ended up being late which was disappointing.

This was my first experience with this theatre company coming from out of town, and it was simply magnificent! The actors are of such high caliber and the performance flawless. I really wish I was still in Halifax to see another show but will have to keep the memory of this one instead. Definitely worth it to purchase the sweet spot tickets in advance to get a reserved chair and water!

Watching Midsummer Night’s Dream by Shakespeare by the Sea was a delight! We booked sweet seats in advance, which helped us snag a seat for the show in advance. However, they also have some pay what you can tickets available the morning of the show so that no one has to miss out on enjoying this play because of monetary means. There are signs throughout the park from the parking lots showing where to go as the performance location is right in the middle of Point Pleasant Park. The seats are camper chairs set in groups of ticket buyers. The performance was well done, combining the natural scenery of the park with the props and costumes that accentuated the scene. Would recommend checking out!

Purchased season tickets for the entire family 2024 season. Very disappointing, wish I hadn't. One actor in particular was so loud and annoying that it ruined every show. Beyond this, the crude sexual humour was blatent and unfunny, with none of Shakespeare's wit. Hoping the company takes a new direction in 2025, but either way I don't think Ii'll be there to see it.

I went with my family to a performance of Twelfth Night and we had an absolutely wonderful time! The cast was incredibly energetic and excellent actors, the rustic scenery and backdrop were gorgeous, and the crew are supportive and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

First Timer at Shakespeare by the Sea last night & I am already looking up the next show I want to attend. We saw Alice in Wonderland & rented a chair for $5. Brought our own snacks, laughed and enjoyed the wonderful show. The costumes were amazing, one of my favourite parts. It was great & I would highly recommend.

After years of procrastination, we finally went and saw 'As You Like It'.
I was quite enamoured when I arrived; stage set, sun setting, kids playing, people having pizza picnics.

The show was from 7pm to 9pm which saw the mood and lighting change from a setting sun that lights the stage naturally to dusk with the theatre lights turning up and complimenting the ambient perfectly. We paid for the 'sweet seats' and were seated in the front row, stage right. SBTS should change their policy so people who haven't paid for the front row cannot 'pay what they want' and sit ahead of the front row.

Bring a jacket or fleece as the temp will drop when the sun goes down. Bring your phone or flashlight if you prefer some extra light for the walk out of the park. There are 4 port-o-potties just outside the theatre.

The production was great, the actors fantastic, lots of laughs. Man, could they project!

Edit: Saw Alice in Wonderland. Incredible! Amazing! Hilarious! It's been awhile since we've attended and the seating policy / layout has improved.

The setting is perfect, the actors were one and all exceptional. Beautifully and thoughtfully casted.

For your $30 ticket you also get a nice comfy folding chair, with a bottle holder. And the weather was perfect.

Highly recommend adding one or more of these evenings to your summmer memories.

The dark photo was take on the walk back to the car park.
