I've been selling real estate with RE/MAX for 34 years and have been with RE/MAX Services for 30 years. I'm constantly getting calls from recruiters to switch offices but I've stayed true and blue to RE/MAX Services in Blue Bell. Why have I stayed for so long you ask? My experience with Josh Schlachterman is pretty much the same as Devon’s. We are good tenants who pay on time, keep the place in good condition, and do not have high demands. We do expect common courtesy, polite response to our concerns, and sensible repairs to be done to the residence we pay to live in .
Eight months into our lease, we have never met him in person. I often have called my own realtor to help facilitate repairs because Josh will not respond. I, a grown man, was put in a position to have to beg for my kitchen sink to be repaired so that I could do dishes. Dishes that I may have been able to put in the dish washer if it worked properly. I had many experiences with the maintenance men telling me what’s wrong only to be told by Josh that I am wrong. I was also told to set up oil heat delivery only to find out that the house ran on gas. Imagine taking off work for three hours to wait and show a Technician the basement only to have him look at me incredulously and say ‘you don’t need oil….’
Any property owner that wants to keep qualified tenants should steer clear. We are fed up.

My roommate and I rent a property that is managed by Josh and Shannon Schlachterman. They are incompetent and truly horrible at their jobs. If this was not during Covid the owners of our property would be out of the country. The only reason we are able to get anything done is through contacting the owners - Josh and Shannon do not respond to texts or calls. The need to contact the owners completely negates the reason for having property managers in the first place. The unit below us is up for rent and it took them two months to put the right keys in the lock box for potential tenants. During this time they were sending people to our apartment at around 10pm with no notice - one who attempted to get into our apartment. When we contacted them scared and about to contact the police, they did not respond and it was the owners who put our concerns to rest. We will be urging the owners to look for new management because this unit is suffering due to their incompetency.

Had a horrible experience with this agency. I contacted the listing agent about a sellers disclosure for one of their listings filled with obvious blunders. The agent proceeded to insult me and kept remarking that I was wrong. After this went back and forth several times, I decided to contact the owner / broker of the agency. Surely he would want to sit down with me and straighten out the issue. No way- he wanted nothing to do with the situation and brushed me off. I tried to reason with him that I was bringing up a legal matter. Sellers disclosures and legal documents and a 2nd grade student would have picked out most of the problems with this one. The agent and the broker are obligated to get this straightened out but above all that, are in a customer service business which they showed in this case they cared nothing about. The agency should be shut down and these two should lose their real estate licenses. Avoid this agency or you will likely be very sorry down the road.

This company cost me my buy for my first home I was set to purchase for myself and my three daughters. We are now homeless. I showed up to Settlement. Myself and the seller and their Settlement agent turned us away because of Owners title insurance and the mortgage company failing to send over $1200. It was already settled via email that I wasn’t purchasing owners title insurance because the lender had owners title insurance and the wire transfer only took two minutes.
