I had an amazing experience with them. Mr David was really helpful throughout the process and guided me with his expertise. Being a first time buyer, I was quite nervous. But thanks to David, he helped me and it never looked like he was looking to complete a deal. He instead recommended me to have survey checks to make sure if there is any fault with the property, we can back out of the deal. He was quite prompt in answering to any concerns, dealing with negotiations. Very nice and pleasant experience. The deal went through very smoothly and a lot of credit to him for that.

I had a poor experience with RE/MAX as a purchaser overall unfortunately. I was sold a property that was supposedly 'chain free' and I offered a price above market rate because of this. However, shortly before exchange of contracts, the seller tied me into a forward chain of at least three more. This made what should have been a straightforward transaction incredibly stressful and uncertain, not to mention more costly for me due to interim accommodation costs due to the purchase being delayed as a result of the chain. Given that I then wanted to withdraw from the purchase or renegotiate the purchase price, I found it staggering that the agent then became invisible i.e. as opposed to directly intervening to save the sale. In the end, I only proceeded due to the overwhelming desire for my new wife and I to have a home we could call our own. I complained to RE/MAX post completion and had a debrief with the agent involved and his Area Manager, who came across as rather arrogant, but ultimately as someone who did not take any real responsibility for his agency's actions, or rather, in-action. Worse, as part of this de-brief, it turned out that the reason the seller tied me into a chain was because RE/MAX referred her to a financial advisor (and received a referral fee as a result) who advised her that it was best to buy and avoid a chain-free sale 'for tax reasons'. It was incredibly greedy, short-sighted and frankly stupid of RE/MAX to risk the sale in this way as a result and I am not sure they really know what they're doing. I suggest you avoid and try an alternative therefore.
