Maria Mastrolonardo sent me a letter claiming to be a "Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist" after the death and probate of my loved one. Not only do I have to deal with an estate and mourn the loss of my mother, Maria thinks I am too dumb to hire a reputable real estate agent, as though agents aren't crawling under every rock. These types of solicitations need to stop. If she were successful, she wouldn't have time to scour whichever databases she had to look up to find my information in another state. Absolutely despicable. I have already found agencies to handle all my matters from people who don't solicit strangers, and you should too. Ask your friends, ask others going through the same thing, but don't let these leeches send you more mail that you don't need to open reminding you of how greedy some people are. Don't worry, Maria, I have it covered. I am a person with a brain, so I figured out how to get a realtor when I am ready. It isn't that hard, but it will never be someone soliciting.

UPDATE: After dealing with this person, she has left me a negative review simply because I had to ask her several times to stop contacting me. She is ten seconds away from a libel suit. I have screenshot ready to send to my lawyer. I never even hired her, heard of her, or feel she is trustworthy. The next person named in the suit is the broker who allowed this person to operate.

Kathryn is not just an agent, she is a true real estate professional. In today's market you need to work with a professional that knows the market and is willing to honestly assess the property you are trying to buy or sell. Kathryn's years of experience shine through whether helping you are a first-time buyer or move-up buyer trying to sell and buy a new home. I've worked with her in the past and highly recommend her.

I had Lauren Calero as an agent and everything was great to start with! She called told me about the listing and suggested that I get with her lender and sort everything out, she then emailed me and asked if I had reached out to her lender and I told her no I hadn’t and I don’t plan on it.... & received no reply. It’s now the day we have the showing and I text her if the time we set was still okay (texted her a hour beforehand) and she then told me “Hi so the seller is requesting a preapproval prior to showing. I am not able to get a confirmation unless I send them one. With covid now a lot of sellers are requesting the approvals prior to showing” I replied “I wish you would’ve told me this prior” and she replied “ I apologize but that’s why getting approved is always the first step and why I sent you my lenders information to get you started. iThis particular subdivision you’re interested in only allows conventional loans so depending on what type of loan you qualify for, these might not be an option for us anyway.“ and I said “ I understand, as I told you we were just looking and I emailed you the other day that I am not going to use the lender because we were just looking..... and I have no reply......... good thing I reached out to you or else we would’ve driven over and you would’ve not been there.......” and I never received a reply for that message. I was really excited to see the house and was never told that those were the circumstances and that’s why I’m making this post. I would’ve wasted my time to go drive to see this place and she would’ve never contacted me.

One star is too much for this agency. Do NOT sign a contract with Bernie Cobb Jr. He is unprofessional, not ethical, manipulative and threatening. I signed a contract with him for the sale of my deceased mothers home back in Sept.. I was somewhat ignorant and didn't think to pay attention to how long the contract was but it is a year. He talked me into a horrible sale and did not have my best interest. The sale fell thru the night before closing. After wasting 3 months trying to sell the home I asked him to take it off the market and cancel the listing while I took a break and made some upgrades to the home. 2 months later comes to find out he never cancelled my listing as asked to do so. He has it temporarily no showings which made sense bc I did have ppl wandering around the house asking questions. When confronted he got very confrontational but we talked and I agreed to let him remarket the property. Days later we didn't see eye to eye on anything. Let me warn you Bernie will try to get you to sell your house at the lowest price for a quick sale. He will even purposely not show you the higher comps so you think your property is worth lower than what it actually is. He wants a fast sale and onto the next he doesn't care about the few thousand more he could make selling it competitively. So then I asked him to cancel my listing bc we didn't see eye to eye and he refused and threatened I either buy him out paying full commission to him or the house sits until his contract expires in 6 months. He said that was my choice. He also refused to give me back my keys so I had to have locks changed. He sent me harassing text after harassing texts trying to manipulate me into using him. I spoke with his broker and he is just as unprofessional and offered me another agent in the office so Bernie and that agent can split the commission. I want nothing to do with the corrupt agency and yes corrupt. They are all about making money off you and don't let them fool you into thinking they are for you. I'm going to seek legal action to get out of this terrible situation.

In 30+ years of working at Real Estate brokerages, this one stands out. They care about their agents, provide good support and when things got tough the owners were there for the agents. A top notch, classy company. A+

Dealing with Caroline Senetar of Re/Max Naperville turned out to be the most underhanded, unethical, deceptive real estate customer experience of my life!

She represented the seller of the house my wife and I thought we had successfully purchased after agreeing to their final offer at 5 PM April 8th, including sending a signed contract within the hour via our realtor to Caroline Senetar. We even received a congratulations through our realtor from Caroline.

I want to reiterate and be crystal clear that the seller who Caroline represented made the final offer, not us, and we accepted in full with no changes.

My wife and I informed our son on the following day, Sunday morning of our happy news only to find out at 1 PM that very day that Caroline was continuing to accept further offers after the fact. We discovered this when we received a notification from our realtor that Caroline informed her that we were now in a best and highest offer and could resubmit a new offer, higher than her clients final offer, if we wanted to. Feel free to read that last sentence one more time.

Needless to say, we did not end up winning our dream home, and I am sharing this so that others don't have to go through the same miserable, unethical, despicable, unprofessional experience at the hands of Caroline Senetar of Remax Naperville.

To complete the nauseating tale I am sharing, when we challenged Caroline on her lack of ethics her response was that she was just following her sellers direction.

I certainly hope that other realtors who happen to read this are embarrassed by one of their peer's attempting to use incompetence or ignorance to condone her unethical and deceptive behavior. Simply informing the sellers to not make a final offer that they will not honor would have avoided a tremendous amount of wasted time, false hope and emotional hardship.

In this case, a zero star rating would be generous.
