being so called "discriminated" against by Gayle is just ridiculous. Sounds like Gayle was using
just plain common sense.
A "sure of course" response is not appropriate anymore, especially now that Covid precautions are our new normal. You being a realtor yourself, should know that asking to use a seller's bathroom is NOT ok!
Sounds like you had the nerve to put Gayle on the spot and she was caught off guard by your lack of common sense. Seems like
you might have the habit of using your client's toilets and also allowing strangers to do so. Again, this is not ok!
I'm guessing that Gayle naturally hesitated because
your bathroom request was inappropriate and rude.
Also...you are REALLY REACHING here. Using words like discrimination, terrible treatment to a disabled elderly and being targeted because you indentify in the LGBTQ community. Really

This agent outright discriminated against my mother and I over the weekend 9/10/23 at her open house. I went there to meet my client at her open house on Sunday. My mother just so happened to be visiting me this weekend and she decided to tag along for the fun of spending time with me showing this home. My mother is 69 years old and visibly disabled. She has a balance issue and as we came up the stairs of this home, traveling from LA about an hour away... we met Gayle standing in the kitchen area talking to other guests. We smiled, said hello and I asked if my mother could use the restroom. Gayle literally looked at us and asked me "what?" so I repeated myself and asked again to which she replied back with "uhhhh, I guess so.." I was stunned for a second, caught off guard with this unexpected response and honestly was about to repeat what she said so she could realize how ridiculous she sounded but out of respect for the others there and my own maturity, I did not want to create a scene.

After all, I was still waiting for my client to arrive. So I immediately took my mom to the restroom but I was so offended by her actions, I knew I could not stay silent which is why I'm reaching out now. A normal response especially at your open house is to welcome people and accommodate them. A regular response is "sure of course, it's right there" etc... but the fact that she "uhhh" had to think about it for one, and then "guess"?... is not a normal reply for a simple request like that. It's a yes or a no and why wouldn't someone be able to use the restroom? It's an OPEN HOUSE. She never even said a word to us after the incident. I couldn't believe we were actually discriminated at, for whatever reason but this really upset me and even my mom who rarely gets upset or offended. She doesn't deserve that treatment and to even do that in front of other people who heard it all happen is just a bad look on her. How terrible for someone to treat anyone, especially a disabled ELDERLY woman who is clearly needing support. Not cool. It honestly made me sad to see people treat others in this way. It was either directed to my mother, or to me because of my external appearance possibly? I identify in the LGBTQ community and regardless who was the one targeted, it truly was a ethical violation as and oath that we take as Realtors. Honestly Gayle, shame on you.
