Wow! What an amazing and creative place that is off the beaten path. If you want a stale hotel for the masses then this is not the place for you. Lovely art everywhere and a very eclectic and clean room. Very unique. Mind you we spent two night at a box chain upscale hotel in Dallas and this one was better! More personality and uniqueness that makes it special. The staff were nice and the communication was great before. This was not in a ghetto like one reviewer mentioned. It is a small city and we felt safe. I live in Portland Oregon and this was refreshing.

This is a nice and fun place to stay. Having the shops around you is nice, especially if they are open. We had live music and outside vendors on Friday to add to the Christmas spirit. Now for the bad, although they call themselves a B&B, it is not. Breakfast consists of a bowl of two kinds of cereal packages, some ice age stuff in the fridge, plus some juice bottles, help yourself. Worst, not a single spoon could be found anywhere, not in the rooms nor the kitchen. And the heating units in the room did not work. There are no instructions on how to work them, but Google helped. They still didn't work. We had our own heater anyway. It was Thanksgiving, so I did not want to call anyone for the small stuff.

What a wonderful and unique place to stay! The workers are responsive, kind, and thoughtful. They attended to parking and other needs, and there was plenty of room for the price! A journey around the property to the artist studios at the Chicken Farm Art Center was a lot of fun as well. If you're looking for something off the beaten path in San Angelo, rest here!

We really enjoyed ourselves. The property is pretty large and there are a lot of shops hidden in every nook. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. The Hacienda Room was excellent, like sleeping on my Grandparents back porch when younger. Lot's of art shops on the premises to go through, me a lot of great, interesting people. Spent too much money! The had an outdoor music festival on Saturday that was amazing. The art is everywhere; in every nook and cranny of the property and the rooms. Price to stay was reasonable and the staff was excellent, especially Sabrina. She would come over and tell us what was coming to the property and neat things to do in the area. The property is quiet and peaceful, like sitting in your own backyard.

What a surprise! This is not your conventional hotel, it is a magical little world of its own that is completely charming. We got a totally different sense of purpose and community than at any other hotel or b&b we have visited in a long time. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and we enjoyed having an outdoor sitting area and the art studios around to explore. It reminded us a little bit of El Cosmico in Marfa— very funky, fun, warm, and welcoming. I hope more hoteliers take up this style of unique hospitality. It was such a good find after too many nights in sterile, soulless chain hotels and absentee-landlord air b&bs. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in San Angelo.

We wanted to try something totally different and it was really a breathing fresh air! Totally out of the box crazy eclectic creative place ! |Rooms are comfortable & clean, good shower & the air co works well too… We really liked it ! Well done ! Shame everything was closed when we were there.

We were looking for something different and unique and we found it. This hidden gem was just that. Sabrina was so friendly and showed us everything and answered any questions that we had. The room was well decorated and very clean. We would definitely stay again. My only complaint (and this is probably more personal preference than anything) the bed was too soft.

We've been coming here for years, and loved it every time. We miss not being able to stay above the restaurant, but we definitely understand fire code.
If I had any complaints, it would be that it would be nice to have more water pressure in the shower.
FWIW, the restaurant is amazing, the rooms are very clean, and they're all unique.
One of our favorite places to stay, and the people are very friendly and helpful.
