Beautiful historic Chicago edifice! Nine floors of shops and studios, a gallery, museum exhibit, and a historic elevator. Be sure to visit the music shop on the too floor. Staff there is talented and helpful. Great way to spend a quiet afternoon.

We attended one of their open houses on second Fridays, and it was incredible! We even took out three elementary aged children. The artists were all so welcoming to all five of us, explaining their craft and inviting us to explore. We saw traditional Indian dance; heard an opera and a Beethoven sonata; saw inside a puppet theater company; and many multimedia artists. An unforgettable night that I hope fosters my young artists' ambitions!

Very nice building to visit while in Chicago. The site will bring you through its history and you’ll navigate through the floors discovering shops and paintings. It is authentic and heartwarming. A great stop to discover more about art in Chicago.

Gorgeous space!

I come here for Kundalini Yoga and when visiting Exile in Bookville bookstore. The security guards are always friendly and it’s really cool to take the old elevator that uses an attendant to operate it. The views facing East are gorgeous and every studio I’ve been in is breathtakingly beautiful.

This historic building with its old school elevator (complete with elevator operator) is incredible. Take the elevator up to the 10th floor and head into Curtis Hall. After checking to make sure there are no performances going on, head for an incredible view of the lake front. Then, if you’re able, head down the stairs a floor at a time to check out some stunning murals, peek into some shops(like hand made violins), and listen to artists practicing their craft in studios.

I was here to see the recording of NPR podcast “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell me” (masks and vax docs required!) nice intimate setting with balconies and two floors of seating. I wouldn’t say it’s quite a black tie ?‍♀️ ? sort of theater. Kind of airy and drafty . They do have drinks, including wine and an accessible ramp.
