My wife and I viewed a property under Alma Paulin's listing and fell in love from the street. We called her and were informed it had a pending offer already but was contingent on sale of the individual's home. She contacted our buyer's agent and requested we still provide and offer for consideration. Biggest mistake of this endeavour! We forwarded an offer and seller refused it for value purposes. Being we are financing FHA (which the house is listed as available for FHA) the cap is lower in this county. This agent didn't know this. The cap is what our offer was valued at. We were told that we could view the property and if we were still interested, the seller would entertain our offer being we were offering 30-45 day closing with no contingencies. We viewed the property and fell more in love with it. We made the offer on Saturday morning and sent it in. We were notified via a text message from Alma that the offer was accepted on Monday morning and we would be getting the executed offer proposal later in the day. We received another text around 10 PM that night that the seller had received another offer from the pending original party and would not be accepting our offer. I don't usually make a habit of giving raving negative feedback on Maps but this was personal. This office and agent are shady, have no ethics and, in my opinion, used our offer to motivate and most likely escalate the selling price to the original party. Seems like we both were taken advantage of. It is bad enough to be in my position but the other party was taken advantage of as well. If you are dealing with this agent or office be very careful of your finances and paperwork. They are only out to drive up prices to pad their commission not taking into consideration the lives they are effecting on both sides. The only ones who make out when dealing with these folks are their seller and Themselves. Go elsewhere and save yourself a lot of time, trouble and most of all, money!

Edit: 3 years later the owner of this institution finally responded. Enough said!
