Robin was very accommodating and crystal clear about the details and cost of the birthday party we were planning at the Painted Penguin. We had a great time! My kids didn’t want to leave and they love the goodies they came home with. Besides bringing some snacks, everything else was taken care of and attended to all throughout the party. We just had our daughter’s 6th birthday at the Vernon Hills location! Everyone loved it, the space was perfect just enough room for everyone to move around! The kids enjoyed it as well! We recently held my daughter’s birthday party at Painted Penguin in Vernon Hills. She had a slime party in one of the party rooms. The kids got to wear smocks and had an absolute blast making their own slime, which involved fun colors and little gems they could add to their slime. It was surprisingly not messy, which the parents appreciated! The kids also got to decorate their own cupcakes and signed a canvas keepsake for her birthday.

It was a really creative birthday party for a girl who loves art, and many of the parents talked about how fun it would be to bring their kids back for painting or ceramics there. The team at Painted Penguin were great to work with and did an awesome job running the party! We would definitely recommend Painted Penguin for a birthday party or other event!

What an absolutely fantastic birthday party experience this past weekend for my now 7 year old daughter. Painted Penguin went above and beyond to not only make sure the kids had a great time but they took care of everything so the adults could relax in an adjacent room.

From the time we arrived, the room was already set up for the party, and Robin took my decorations and immediately set them up in a way that made most sense. We opted for the painted canvas party (2 hours) and added the cupcake decoration (each kid got to decorate their own cupcake with a sprinkles assortment). Robin took care of serving the pizza and cupcakes, prepared with gloves and passing everything out to each child.

My daughter wanted a painting theme that would appeal to both boys and girls, and a week before the party, I texted with her request - a sunset over a beach with a big wave. Robin happily accommodated and was prepared with 2 different painting themes that she combined for the perfect end result, taking the kids through a step by step class but also finding ways to allow them to individualize their painting.

We really didn’t have to do anything other than bring in the food and decor (the room is so fun, you don’t even really need your own decor). The staff took care of everything and all the kids were completely engaged during the painting process and had an amazing time!

I have done birthday parties for two of my kids here. They both had an amazing time! It kept the kids engaged and they all had a blast! I loved the finger print keepsake and how organized everything was kept! I was able to entertain younger and older friends at my 5 year olds birthday party!
