Selling a home where you have invested so much of your time and energy (not to mention money) and made so many wonderful memories can be a truly stressful time. How can you get the greatest value for your home, who can you trust to represent your interests, and how quickly can the house be sold are all sincere and honest concerns. And, if you are like us, and selling your San Diego area home while already living on the totally opposite side of the country (like from Southern California to South Carolina), this could be even more stressful.

But, we knew that Judy Spady and her team were the perfect people to represent us in the sale of our home. Prior to moving out of our Chula Vista home, Judy and Jill Spady visited our home to get an idea of the property and to help point out items that may be brought up during a home inspection. They are very detailed and obviously have an “eye” as to what other realtors might see and how to address those issues beforehand (I mean they even pointed out a cracked light switch plate in our hallway). Beyond their assessment of our home, we did follow their advice and had our own home inspection done prior to putting the house on the market so that we could address any issues ahead of time and thus help to expedite the sale of the home.

Even before putting our house on the market, Judy and Jill kept us informed as to what the market was looking like at the time and what the expectations were for interest rates and how that could impact the sale of our home.

When the time came for us to pack up our family of dogs and cats and head east, we had an absolute trust in Judy and her team to sell our home even though we were not there. They arranged for the house to be professionally cleaned once we were out and they recommended (and to which we agreed) to have the house “staged” for the open house. They had discussed with us the value of staging the home versus prospective buyers walking into an empty building and we agreed that the cost of staging the home would reap greater value when the house was sold. The photographer that they brought in to photograph the house also did an outstanding job with highlighting the beauty of the home and the care that we had put into the home over the years.

When the day came for the open house, Judy and her team kept us informed as to how busy they were with potential buyers and their agents and they even sent us a video of the event. We have to admit, they did such a good job in showcasing our home that we had a few guilty feelings about selling the home.

After the open house, Judy was right to work emailing us offers on the house and calling us to go over the offers. In one day, we had five offers (all over the asking price) and with Judy’s input we chose the offer that we all felt was best for us. But their work did not stop there as they were in regular contact with us via email, text and phone to discuss the contract. Signing all of the paperwork electronically made our lives so much easier we laughed at how we used to have to review stacks of paper with little tabs on them saying “sign here”. We are happy to say that our house sold quickly and Judy and Jill were quick to congratulate us on the day the sale closed.

Even though we were over 2,000 miles away, we knew that we could trust Judy and her team and had the utmost faith in their professionalism and their dedication to us, their clients. Their work proved that our trust and faith were well-placed. We cannot recommend them enough for their hard work and wisdom and guidance in selling our home. We moved to the east side of Clairemont Mesa 30 years ago. Over the next few years we started to see Judy Spady RE/MAX signs everywhere ( must be doing a great job ). Fast forward to 2023 we are still here and so is Judy & Co.

We have enjoyed talking with George year after year as he and other team members bring out Flags for the Fourth of July. They have also given out pumpkins at Halloween. My wife’s favorite is the monthly calendar, we like all the information and we write down all of our appointments on it. We have always said if we sell our house, Judy Spady will be our agent.
