Don’t come here- asked about a French easel, which they happened to have on display and the worker wouldn’t allow me to look at it and I felt unwelcome so left. I happen to be a POC. I’m not saying this mattered but if you understand what that means, you understand how much that shades your experiences of places like these. Just saying, be aware in these places.

Best art store! I wish there was a good art store near me but instead when I make the pilgrimage to Tucson Sarnoff is a must stop. They had the fountain pens and ink I wanted to look at and buy rather than find everything online. Amazing customer service and wonderful people. Also great new location!

First time going to Sarnoff; it's small and is geared towards painting materials especially. Despite this, there is an incredibly thoughtful variety. That is something you can only achieve through experience. Yes, you COULD get them online...you can get anything online. But there is absolutely no replacement for amazing service with a knowledgeable owner that takes time to talk to every single customer in the store. I told him it was my first time in the store and I got a free tube of M Graham watercolor paint after mentioning I liked honey-binded brands.
I am so happy I made time to go in and support an amazing local business that truly cares about their customers.

Everyone here is so helpful. Fantastic, low key spot for fine art supplies. Avoid all of the kitsch and mayhem of crafty super- stores. They have your basics as well as specialty items. If they don't have what you're looking for, they are glad to order it special for you. Student discount.

I love to support local businesses since the internet is taking over and putting everyone out of business. I've compared prices online and they run about the same, I just don't have to wait on USPS or FedEx/UPS and worry if my package will be stolen if I'm not home or if the delivery person will treat it like a soccer ball during the World Cup. Anyways, the staff can seem stand offish but don't be fooled! They are very friendly and helpful. It's not the biggest store and inventory has gotten smaller, hopefully not a sign. I'm not on this side of town very often, but if I can, I'll stop in and get something (I usually always need something). Support local!

I went in looking for a full set of colored pencils in a specific brand, and he told me he could order them for me, but it would be cheaper to go to the manufacturer. I thought this was wonderful. This is a quaint shop that appears to have what an artist needs from products to replacements to paper of all kinds. It's like going to Santa's store for my Christmas list! If he doesn't have it - he can get it. Such a nice man!

The worst experience I have ever had! I called yesterday and Henry took my call. He was so helpful. I was excited to drive all the way to pick up some canvas boards he was going to have prepared. When I got there I spoke to Chad. He was rude from the moment he picked up the phone. He defiantly did not want to be there. I told him I was and what I was there to pick up. He said he didn’t know what I was talking about. That he was going to call Henry and then hung up on me. (I’m picking up at curb). So I wait a minute or so to see if he is calling me back, but I think doesn’t have my number and I don’t that he got my name. I call back and tell him that I just spoke to him. His response is “Yeah”. Than I ask him again about the canvas. He says he just spoke to Henry and now knows what I need to come back later. Really. No apology, no concern for the customer. I let him know that I was not happy and would like to talk to Henry. He said that it was Henry’s fault and that HE was annoyed with him. Then he said that he is quitting and that I could find someone else to mount my canvas. I am really disappointed. I thought I found a place that I was going to get all my canvas boards from. Trying to find another Art Store now. ?.

I love this art store! As a college art student, I've found that this store often has better pricing compared to other places in town and the owner is always helpful and available. It is a bit hard to park there but I always choose this store over others simply because it has more variety and quality supplies.
