Be warned with using Duguay as your realtor!

She might be very experienced in real estate business and “sell” many properties.
She sold my old home and helped to close my new home last year (2019). It was my decision to close both deals but I realized that I worked with a realtor who only do the business best of “her own interest”. I ended up selling my old home at a marginal (below listed) price, and Duguay was only interested in selling quickly.
For my new home, we closed it at 5K higher than listed price and above all, we used her recommended inspector and it was worse. AFTER we closed, we found major issues including “gas leak”, which costed us around 5K (gas leak & gas oven) out of our pocket. The home inspector was one of long-time coworker of hers and he kept denying his mistake and covering my expenses. Duguay did not do a thing about this (I warrant this) and eventually, stopped responding to me. She seemed ok in the overall process but ended up acting very non-professionally and took no responsibility.

After quite a bit of meetings and discussions with friendly referrals, we decided to move forward with Ms. Jenifer Duguay. When she came to our home, we discussed many things of both the home we were selling and the home we were looking for. I felt that by the end of the meeting, we were working with someone that not only understood our vision for the next major phase of our lives, but also want to fulfill that vision as it were her own.

We proceeded to visit homes, old and new. Each one of them, in one way or another, would meet what we were looking for. All of them had their own variations that would lend themselves to the criteria that not just my wife and I, but also Ms. Duguay were hunting. We then crossed across the gem of a house that is now our home. All thanks to Jenifer.

I, like many people, don't realize the steps involved in buying and selling a home. Staging, listing, showing, purchase, searching, offers and inspections are just a few that I can think of as an outsider to the real estate universe. Fortunately for us Jenifer was happy to explain each of these facets to us; some more than once.

We now consider Jenifer a friend of ours (my wife and I) and know this was possible because of how seriously and professionally she took fulfilling our vision of a life. I believe a mediocre experience would have lead us going our own ways by now.

Instead, it should be known Jenifer Duguay is a leader of the industry.
